References
"Thank you for your creative, exciting, and thought-provoking presentation. I think our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders were captivated because you shared personal information, you talked about how you got your idea at a young age, and you shared the process you went through to get your book published. The students loved your technology and various voices! You had them in the palm of your hands."
-- Pam Kensmoe, librarian at Apache Elementary
"He's a fabulous author who can help you develop your own creative writing talents."
-- Harold Stone, Director of Lakeview Academy

"It was so great to have him come and talk to these guys. He's given them some really good ideas they can use."

Based on staff and student feedback I would highly recommend Matthew Peterson for an author visit. His professional manner and various uses of technology made him a hit with our students."
-- Lori Alexander, librarian at Parkridge Elementary

Matt received 26 additional orders from Parkridge Elementary students a week after the presentation!
Regarding a "Publicity" panel Matthew was on at the 2008 World Science Fiction Convention:
"You didn't sound like an author but like a publisher with 20 years of experience. You should be running some of these publishing companies. You're a very good speaker."

"One of the best events. I learned so much from the guest about how to go from "zero to 60" in a hurry!"

Simon Kent is just an ordinary teenager trying to cope with the loss of his parents and the bullies at the local high school . . . or so he thinks. After meeting an outspoken girl with strange hair that changes colors with her mood, he is swept into a futuristic world filled with dragonlike creatures, vast technology, and enslaved giants.

But Simon also stumbles upon a secret: He can perform magic in this parallel world! While fighting mystical creatures, unraveling an ancient mystery, and even experiencing his first kiss, Simon discovers that he, an outsider from Earth, is the only person who can save the high-tech planet from an impending doom.
