July 2009 Update: Because of a breach of contract, my previous publisher, Windstorm Creative (now Orchard House Press), lost the rights to Paraworld Zero and the Parallel Worlds series. I just finished writing the second book, Magical Learning, and will soon be looking for a new agent/publisher. My house caught on fire this month, but I was able to salvage the files from my computer. We'll be in a rental home for six months, but you can always reach me at 888-376-8693, ext 1 for rights or other questions. A few foreign publishers are looking at my series right now and I do have some non-exclusive contracts with companies like audible.com, Sony, and OverDrive, but as of this moment, all the rights are currently available. Contact me if you have questions.

Dozens of high-traffic websites, blogs and newsletters (BookBrowse.com, CarolHurst.com, etc.) have featured Paraworld Zero. Promotions also include ads in The New York Times, Publishers Weekly, The Bloomsbury Review, Foreword, Poets and Writers, and many more. Simon Kent is just an ordinary teenager trying to cope with the loss of his parents and the bullies at the local high school . . . or so he thinks. After meeting an outspoken girl with strange hair that changes colors with her mood, he is swept into a futuristic world filled with dragonlike creatures, vast technology, and enslaved giants. But Simon also stumbles upon a secret: He can perform magic in this parallel world! While fighting mystical creatures, unraveling an ancient mystery, and even experiencing his first kiss, Simon discovers that he, an outsider from Earth, is the only person who can save the high-tech planet from an impending doom. |
